Westhampton Beach Police Log: DWI and Drug Arrest
Westhampton Beach Police reports from Oct. 16 to Oct. 23.

DWI
On Oct 21 at 1:30 a.m. Westhampton Beach Police report that they charged Edgar Vasquez, 34, of Westhampton Beach, with DWI. Police said Vasquez, who was unlicensed, struck another car at the corner of Montauk Highway and County Road 31. He was held overnight and released on $250 cash bail. He is due in court on Oct. 24.

Drugs
Westhampton Beach police charged Thomas Chew, 21, of Riverhead, with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and criminally using drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors on Oct 22 at 12:50 p.m.. Police say they pulled Chew over on Montauk Highway for driving without a seatbelt. He was released on $1,000 cash bail and is due back in court on Oct. 24.
