Westhampton Beach Police Log: 1 Nabbed for DWI

Westhampton Beach Police reports through Sept. 5.

While the Westhampton Beach Police department reports that it was busy over Labor Day weekend responding to incidents and complaints, only one DWI arrest was logged.

On Sept. 1, Westhampton Beach Police charged Henry Garcia, 23, of Westhampton Beach,  with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police say Garcia was stopped on Asputuck Road for failing to stop at a stop sign on Montauk Highway; failing to maintain his lane of travel; and crossing a double yellow line. Police say Garcia was arraigned and due back in court on Sept. 12.
