Editor’s Note: The following information was supplied by the Westhampton Beach Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Grand Larceny

Westhampton Beach Police are searching for the person(s) who took several landscaping items from a work trailer at the Harbor House Condos, 35 Library Avenue, in Westhampton Beach.

Police said reported missing is a hedge trimmer, valued at $400; an edging machine, valued at $525; and a chainsaw, valued at $400.

The items were reportedly taken on April 8, sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.

Harassment

On April 14 at 9:14 a.m, Westhampton Beach police said they responded to a domestic incident on Main Street between a brother and a sister — the sister, police said, claimed her brother attempted to choke her. Police arrested the brother* for criminal obstruction of breath and blood circulation, a misdemeanor, and also for harassment in the second degree, also a misdemeanor.
