Village Police: Two Larcenies Reported

The following information was supplied by the Westhampton Beach Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Westhampton Beach Village Police reports for the week of September 6 through September 12:

Larceny

A 50-year-old woman from Westhampton Beach told Westhampton Beach Village Police that on Sunday morning she realized someone stole a leather case containing $152 and a quarter-tank of gas from her car, which was parked in the driveway of her home on Mill Road. She told police she left the car unlocked at around 7:45 p.m.

A 47-year-old man from Westhampton Beach told Westhampton Beach Village Police that on Sunday at around 10:15 a.m. his kids left their bikes, a Schwinn and a Giant, on the lawn at his home on Cyrta Lane. A few hours later, he discovered the bikes were missing.

Unlicensed Operation

John Jennosa, 46, of Remsenburg was charged by Westhampton Beach Village Police with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, on Saturday at 12:24 p.m. Police said Jennosa was in a car accident on Montauk Highway when police discovered his licensed had been suspended.

Intoxicated Man

A highly intoxicated Hispanic male, covered in blood and suffering from unknown injuries, was found stumbling along Montauk Highway near its intersection with South Country Road in Quiogue Sunday evening at around 11:39 a.m., according Westhampton Beach Village Police, who responded to a call for help from Southampton Town Police.

The unidentified man was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by the volunteer ambulance from East Quogue. No arrests have been made.
