Village Police Log: White Mercedes, Paddleboards Stolen

Also stolen this week was jewelry, valued at $45,000.

The following is a round-up of recent incidents reported to the Westhampton Beach Village Police Department.

• Two paddleboards were reported stolen to Westhampton Beach police on Aug. 2. The owner of the paddleboards told cops that the boards were taken from Dune Road on Aug. 2 between 12:50 p.m .at 1:00 p.m. The boards are valued at $3,000.

• On Aug. 3, a Beach Road resident called police to report that between July 23 and July 25 someone stole a Tiffany bracelet and a Rolex watch, valued at $45,000 from a bag in a night stand. Police said there was no sign of forced entry at the residence.

• A white 2012 Mercedes was reported stolen on Aug. 6 at 9:30 a.m. Police said the car was parked in the driveway when it was stolen sometime on Aug. 5 after 11:00 p.m. The car was unlocked with the keys inside.

The car is one of 12 that have been stolen from East Hampton to West Hampton Dunes this summer.
