Quogue Village Police Log: Officers Investigate Stolen Tools

Petty Larceny
Quogue Village Police are investigating a larceny incident that happened between Dec. 13 and 14 on Old Country Road in Quogue. A workman told police that someone went into his car and stole $250 worth of tools, according to officers. There was no sign of forced entry, making it possible someone used a Slim Jim to open the doors or that the vehicle was unlocked, police said.

Marijuana Possession
An 18-year-old Mastic man was arrested Dec. 19 at 10:41 p.m. on South Country Road in Quogue and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. The man was stopped for speeding when marijuana was in police’s plain view, officers said.

Unlicensed Operation
Jennifer Wojciula, 24, of Eastport was stopped Dec. 14 at 4:49 p.m. on Montauk Highway in Quogue and cited for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Wojciula was stopped for having a headlight out.
