Two Nabbed at Train Station With Drugs

Two 21-year-old New York, New York men were caught by Westhampton Beach Police with backpacks filled with drugs.

Two 21-year-old New York, New York men were caught by Westhampton Beach Police last Tuesday with backpacks filled with drugs.

According to Westhampton Beach police, the pair were getting off the Long Island Railroad at the Westhampton station when police were tipped off that two men were talking about drugs on the trail.

Police searched the men and found they were carrying over 50 different kids of pills, heroin and marijuana.

One of the men was charged with 5 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors and the other with 9 counts of the same charge. Both were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

The men were released on $1,500 bail each and are due back in court on Sept. 18.
