Two Burglaries Being Investigated by Quogue PD

Police say burglaries occurred at two locations this week.

are actively investigating a burglary that was reported on Friday and a possible burglary reported on Sunday.

According to Lt. Christopher Isola, a resident reported that someone entered a Quogue Street home and took a television set sometime between the second and 13th of January.  Isloa said the police department's detective unit is looking into the case.

The detectives are also investigating a report of a Dune Road home possibly being broken into on Jan. 15.

Isola said a home alarm alerted police that someone was possibly attempting to break into the home. 

"It was a large house and we used a canine unit to search the premises," said Isola.

Police, said Isola, found that a door and a window were "unsecured," however nothing from the home appeared to be missing.
