Truck Gets Stuck Under Overpass in Hampton Bays

Emergency responders free truck by letting air out of the truck's tires.

On Wednesday, at about at 10:45 a.m., a northbound truck got stuck under the a railroad train trestle overpass that is adjacent to the Southampton Town Parks and Recreation Administration building on Newtown Lane in Hampton Bays at the Shinnecock Canal. 

and emergency personnel shut down northbound traffic for about half an hour in order to free the truck from the overpass that has a 11' 6" height restriction by letting out the air in its tires.

Town workers are assessing damage to the bridge.
