Traffic Advisory: Main Street to Close for Parade Saturday

Main Street will be closed between 10 and 2 p.m. for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Southampton Town Police are urging motorists to say away from Main Street and find alternative routes on Saturday as marchers will take to the roadway for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The parade, which will be led by Sister Kathy as this year's Grand Marshal, will kick off at 11:00 a.m. However, Main Street will be closed, starting at 10:00 a.m.

The Parade route will run northbound on Ponquogue Avenue to Montauk Highway and end near the Hampton Bays Diner.

Police said a large number of people are expected to attend and traffic delays are anticipated on Montauk Highway from Bittersweet South to Flanders Road and Ponquogue Avenue from King Street to Montauk Highway.
