Town Police: Three Arrested for Aggravated DWI

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

reports for the week of Sept. 19 through Sept. 20:

Aggravated DWI

Eugenio Guevara-Martinez, 32, of Hampton Bays was arrested Friday at 4:14 p.m. at the corner of Ponquogue Avenue and Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Guevara-Martinez was stopped for driving out of lane.

Antonio Campohermoso, 28, of Southampton was arrested Friday at 11:29 p.m. at the corner of Flanders Road and Sunrise Highway in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Campohermoso was stopped for changing lanes without using his blinker.

Tecum Sebastian, 36, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sunday at 10:56 p.m. on County Road 31 in Westhampton and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony, and aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Sebastian was stopped for a traffic violation when police discovered he was intoxicated and that his license had been suspended.

DWI

Dennis Albin, 53, of Eastport was arrested Friday at 5:49 p.m. on Montauk Highway in Speonk and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Albin was in a car accident when police discovered he was intoxicated. Albin suffered minor injuries and was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center, according to police records.

Criminal Mischief

Dennis Cox, 36, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sunday at 5:02 a.m. at his home on Bellows Terrace Road in Hampton Bays and charged with second-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and second-degree harassment, a harassment. Police said Cox severely damaged his victim's house, including punching a glass door with his right hand. He also dragged the victim out of her friend’s car and pushed her onto the ground, police said. The Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps. transported Cox to Peconic Bay Medical Center.

A 56-year-old woman told Town Police that Friday, September 23 at around 1:30 a.m. she heard a loud crash outside the bedroom window of her home on Club Lane in Remsenburg. When she woke up that morning, she saw her bedroom window screen was torn open. Police wrote in a narrative that it appears someone tried to enter her house.

Harassment

A 28-year-old man from Center Moriches told Town Police that on Sunday, September 18 at 10:20 p.m. at the on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays a man he was verbally arguing with punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. The two people who were fighting were intoxicated at the time of the fight, according to police.

Assault

John Flanagan, 28, of Hampton Bays was arrested Tuesday, September 20 at 6:38 p.m. at his home on Allomara Drive in Hampton Bays and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Police said Flanagan pushed his victim to the ground and fell on top of her, causing redness and swelling around her eye, as well as a half-inch cut above her eye.
