Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Tampering With Evidence

• Hamdi Selvi, 30, of Nesconset, was arrested June 24 at 2:30 a.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor, and tampering with physical evidence, a felony. Police said Selvi was the front seat passenger of a vehicle that was being stopped for a traffic infraction when he threw a lit marijuana cigarette out the window.

• Barry Eugene Mills, 55, of Quogue, was arrested June 17 at 9:33 p.m. in Riverside and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and inadequate lights and no signal or bell on his bicycle, both traffic infractions. Police said Mills was stopped for biking at night with no lights and he was holding a crack pipe in his left hand. While being interviews, he dropped a small piece of crack cocaine from his hand, and a search located a large piece of crack in his hat, according to the arrest report.

Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs

• Irineo Gutierrez, 37, of Southampton, was arrested June 23 at 11:01 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree-alcohol related, a felony, and driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree-alcohol related, both misdemeanors. Police said Gutierrez was pulled over on Montauk Highway East for driving without his headlights on. Police said he had a marijuana cigarette and an open 12-ounce bottle of Bud Light in the vehicle, and he admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana several hours prior. He was additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and several vehicle and traffic infractions, including consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and insufficient lights.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Roy M. Eskesen, 23, of Hampton Bays, was arrested June 18 at 1:45 a.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, and passing a red light, a traffic infraction. Police said they pulled Eskesenwas over on Ponquogue Avenue and found his speech was slurred, his breath smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage and he was unsteady on his feet and performed poorly on sobriety tests. He submitted to a chemical test and his blood alcohol content reading was 0.18 percent, police said, more than twice the limit.

• Pawel Korta, 45, of Hampton Bays, was arrested June 17 at 9:47 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they responded to Wakeman Road after a passing motorist reported an erratic driver and found Korta slumped over in the driver’s seat while the vehicle was partially in the roadway and still running. He was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to police headquarters in Hampton Bays, police said.

• Antonio F. Cuhna, 47, of Newark, N.J., was arrested June 19 at 1:22 a.m. in East Quogue and charged with aggravated DWI. Police said Cuhna was stopped for a traffic violation and upon interview his eyes were glassy and bloodshot, his breath smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage, he was unsteady on his feet and he performed poorly on sobriety tests.  According to the arrest report, he submitted to a chemical test and the blood alcohol content reading was 0.19 percent, more than twice the limit.

• Alicia M. Cook, 25, of Westhampton Beach, was arrested June 18 at 5:24 a.m. in Noyac and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and moving from lane unsafely, a traffic infraction. Police said Cook was pulled over for failing to maintain her lane while driving near the Dogwood Street and Noyac Road intersection, and further investigation found she was intoxicated.

• Luis M. Velasquez, 25, of Portchester, was arrested June 23 at 7:17 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Velasquez was arrested in parking lot on Dune Road after failing sobriety tests.

• Efstratios Mitsopoulos, 31, of Farmingdale, was arrested June 23 at 9:23 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Mitsopoulos was charged after originally being pulled over on Lynn Avenue for speeding, failure to keep right and driving on the shoulder, all traffic infractions.

• Timothy M. Keller, 26, of Holiday, Fla., was arrested June 24 at 2:16 a.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Keller was pulled over after making an illegal U-turn on Montauk Highway. He was additionally charged with failure to signal and improper U-turn, both traffic infractions.

• Efren T. Delossantos, 34, of Hampton Bays, was arrested June 23 at 5 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Delossantos left the scene of a motor vehicle accident, driving off with only three wheels and ending up at Kennedy Lane. There was an open container of Modelo beer in the vehicle, according to the arrest report. He was additionally charged with refusing a breath screening test, being an unlicensed operator, consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, all vehicle infractions, as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

• Taylor S. Marangoni, 21, of Riverhead, was arrested June 23 at 8:41 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.  Police said Marangoni was pulled over for driving on Shinnecock Road with no front license plate and was subsequently arrested for DWI and consuming an alcoholic beverage in a vehicle, an infraction.

• Matthew D. Sullivan, 33, of Hampton Bays, was arrested June 24 at 9:54 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Sullivan was pulled over for passing a vehicle in a no passing zone and would not pull over until he reached his driveway. Police said he blood alcohol content was 0.26 percent according to a pre-screen breath test. The vehicle was seized, and Sullivan was additionally charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and passing in a no passing zone, both traffic infractions.

• Armando Calle-Suqui, 29, of East Hampton, NY, was arrested June 24 at 1:29 a.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as improper towing and visibility distorted, both traffic violations. Police said Calle-Suqui was driving on Montauk Highway West with no lights on and when he was pulled over he had a strong odor of alcohol on his breathe and was unsteady on his feet and had glossy, bloodshot eyes. He performed poorly on sobriety tests, according to the arrest report.

Petty Larceny

• A 16-year-old Hampton Bays boy was charged with petty larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, both misdemeanors, on June 20 at 2:01 p.m. Police said the teen was arrested after police responded to Hampton Bays High School regarding a stolen bicycle.

Unlicensed Practice of Medicine

• John A. Fritsch, 55, of Hampton Bays, was arrested June 18 at 4:58 p.m. on Columbine Avenue for an outstanding arrest warrant from New Jersey for unlicensed practice of medicine in the third degree. Fritsch was held until the Suffolk County Police Fugitive Task Force arrived to take him to Suffolk County District Court, according to the arrest report.
