Town Police Log: Endangering an Incompetent Person, Harassment, DWIs and Trespassing

Criminal Trespass

Rene Andrade, 40, of Hampton Bays was arrested at 1:42 a.m. Sunday and charged with criminal trespass in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Andrade was intoxicated and tried to force his way into an East Tiana Road house in Hampton Bays. The occupants pushed him out of the house and called police, according to the arrest report. Andrade was found on an adjacent property, indentified by a victim and arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing, police said. Police added that Andrade recently moved into a nearby residence and may have approached the wrong residence because he was drunk.

DWI

Richard P. Lalomia, 28, of Hampton Bays was arrested at 1:03 a.m. Thursday and charged with DWI. Police said Lalomia was speeding and failing to maintain his lane near Springville Road and King Street in Hampton Bays when he was pulled over. His speech was slurred, he was unsteady on his feet and he performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests and refused a pre-screen breath test, police said.

William Glen Graves, 42, of Clarston, Michigan, was arrested at around 5 a.m. Saturday and charged with aggravated DWI and driving on the sidewalk. Police said Graves was trying to park a vehicle and driving on the sidewalk on Montauk Highway West in Hampton Bays near Ponquogue Avenue. He failed a pre-screen breath test and was transported to police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment.

Aggravated Harassment

Donna Salvaggio, 54, of Howard Beach was arrest Wednesday at town police headquarters and charged with aggravated harassment in the second degree and criminal contempt in the second degree, both misdemeanors. Police said Salvaggio turned herself in for a Feb. 15 incident on Ocean Road in Hampton Bays.

Endangering the Welfare of an Incompetent Person

Joy Seibert, 60, of Mastic was arrested at 10:32 am Wednesday at police headquarters in Hampton Bays and charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent person. Police said Seibert was arrested on an outstanding warrant for an incident on East Quogue.

Arson

Mary P. Veitus, 28, of Noyac was arrested Wednesday and charged with arson in the fourth degree, a felony, and criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor.  Police said she turned herself in for a Feb. 20 incident at a Canoe Place Road residence in Hampton Bays. According to police, it was a domestic incident and department policy is to not release details about such cases.
