Town Police Log: DWI, Larceny, Criminal Mischief

Editor's Note: The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

Southampton Town police arrest reports for west of the Shinnecock Canal from Feb. 20 to Feb. 26:

DWI

• Jennifer Boyer, 47, of Hampton Bays, was arrested Feb. 25 at 3:11 a.m. at the intersection of Ponquogue Avenue and Good Ground Road. She was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and failing to signal while changing lanes, a traffic infraction. Police said Boyer failed a breath screen for alcohol intoxication and was taken into custody.

• William Walsh, 24, of Remsenburg, was arrested Feb. 25 at 11:15 p.m. on Montauk Highway in Sagaponack and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. He was additionally charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and speeding, a traffic infraction. Walsh was stopped by police after he was observed traveling 91 miles per hour in a 40-mile-per-hour zone and was found to be intoxicated, according to the arrest report.

Grand Larceny

• Dennis Joseph Malerba, 31, of Westhampton, was , a felony, after police said an investigation revealed that Malerba had stolen more than $3,000 worth of jewelry from an Eastport residence. He was processed and held for arraignment.

Petty Larceny

• Steven Desanti, 22, of East Quogue, was arrested Feb. 26 at 1:24 a.m at the 7-Eleven in East Quogue and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Police said Desanti took a package of donuts from the store without paying for them.

Criminal Mischief

• John Gloor, 26, of Manorville, was arrested Feb. 22 at 11:41 p.m. in Flanders and charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor. According to police, Gloor was involved in a dispute with his girlfriend and intentionally broke a door at her residence. He was transported to police headquarters and held for arraignment
