Town Police Log: Criminal Impersonation, DWI and Grand Larceny

Police made multiple arrests this weeks on charges that varied from bail jumping to DWI.

Kimberly A. Cerlenko, 40, of Southampton was arrested Friday at around 6:34 p.m. and charged with criminal impersonation in the first degree, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor. According to the incident report, an employee of the pharmacy at in Hampton Bays reported receiving a phone call on Feb. 19 from a woman who claimed to be “Anne Marie” from a doctor’s office and gave oral prescriptions for Adderall and an amphetamine-based stimulant. A white female in a black coat picked up the prescriptions at about 4 p.m., according to the incident report. Police said she was on store security video.

Darius J. Campbell, 21, of Quogue was arrested at his residence Sunday at around 1:07 p.m. and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a felony, and aggravated harassment in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Campbell was involved in a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend, violating an order of protection.

Richard Curry, 34, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sunday at around 1:16 a.m. and charged with DWI. Police said Curry was pulled over in Flanders after making a left turn without signaling and had alcohol on his breath and glossy, bloodshot eyes. Police said a small bag of cocaine was on the floor of the driver’s side of the vehicle. He was additionally charged with failure to signal and cited for refusing to take a chemical test.

Robert A. Mazzone Jr., 49, of Babylon was arrested Saturday in Hampton Bays at about 5:29 p.m and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a felony; aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, a misdemeanor; and misuse of dealer plates. Police said Mazzone pulled out in front of a police vehicle, causing the officer to slow abruptly to avoid hitting Mazzone’s car. He was pulled over and found to have a revoked license, so his vehicle was impounded, police said. During inventory of the vehicle contents, police discovered a bag containing 40 Oxycodone pills. He was additionally charged with failure to yield and driving an uninspected motor vehicle.

Elio A. Monroy, 44, of Southampton was arrested Saturday in Hampton Bays at around 1:11 a.m. and charged with DWI. Police said he was operating his car erratically and when pulled over, he failed a sobriety test. He was additionally charged with moving from lane unsafely.

Jared L. Acevedo, 22, of Shirley was arrested Thursday at Radio Shack in Hampton Bays at around 5:20 p.m. and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony. Police said the manager of Radio Shack called to report he was holding Acevedo, an employee there, who admitted to stealing $1,247 from the store over the course of two months. Police said Acevedo was faking returns to pocket cash.

Lloyd Christopher Nolan, 54, of Hampton Bays was arrested at his Kennedy Lane residence on Jan. 25 and charged with bail jumping in reference to an active worker’s compensation fraud case, police said.

Leor Metav Feit, 18, of Bellport was arrested Feb. 15 in Westhampton at around 11:18 a.m. and charged with speeding, a traffic infraction, and criminal possession of marijuana in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Feit was pulled over near the Mill Road and Leland Drive for speeding in a school zone. A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the car. Feit produced a bag of newly rolled joints and said he had additional marijuana in his book bag.

Wilian Siguenza Sanmartin, 23, of Flanders was arrested in Hamptons Bays on Wednesday at around 9:38 p.m. and charged with DWI and being an unlicensed operator. Police said Siguenza was stopped after he threw a beer can out his window and upon interview, he had beer on his breath. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

Theodore John Heuer, 20, of Wading River was arrested Saturday in Riverhead at around 5:46 p.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, both misdemeanors. Police said Heuer was stopped for having no front license plate and a license check revealed his license is suspended. Police said Heuer had ecstasy in a cigarette box in the driver's side door compartment.
