Town Police Log: Arrested for DWI, Found With Crack Cocaine

Also among the week's arrests, a Hampton Bays man arrested for DWI also charged with felony aggravated unlicensed driving.

Drug Possession, Driving While Intoxicated

• Tammy L. Cipriano, 44, of Flanders, was arrested Aug. 11 at 1:04 a.m. in Flanders and charged with DWI and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, both misdemeanors, and moving from lane unsafely, a traffic infraction. Police said that she was pulled over at Cypress Avenue and Flanders Road for crossing the white shoulder line. When she was booked at police headquarters in Hampton Bays, officers found she was in possession of crack cocaine, according to the arrest report.

Felony Unlicensed Driving, DWI

• Michael A. Bianchi, 45, of Hampton Bays, was arrested Aug. 12 at 3:45 a.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI as well as aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree-alcohol related, a felony, as well as moving from lane unsafely, a traffic infraction. Pokice said Bianchi was pulled over for failing to maintain his lane while driving northbound on Ponquogue Avenue and he performed poorly on sobriety tests.

Driving While Intoxicated

• Kerri M. Erdman, 24, of Manorville, was arrested Aug. 12 at 2:23 a.m. in Westhampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as running a stop sig and failing to use designated lane, both traffic infractions. Police said Erdman ran the stop sign at Old County Road and Summit Boulevard and failed to maintain her lane while making a left on Old Country Road. After being pulled over, officers discovered she was intoxicated, police said.

• Michael S. Thaler, 49, of Hampton Bays, was arrested Aug. 12 at 12:42 a.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and failing to stop, a traffic infraction. Police said after being pulled over at the Argonne Road East and Lynn Avenue intersection for disobeying a stop sign, Thaler failed sobriety tests.

• Cassandra L. Connick, 23, of Thornwood, was arrested Aug. 12 in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and running a stop sign, a traffic infraction. Police said Connick was pulled over near the intersection of Shinnecock Road and Ponquogue Avenue then found to be intoxicated.

Arrested on a Warrant After Accident

• Julie M. Walker, 40, of Hampton Bays, was arrested Aug. 9. at 12:07 a.m. near the intersection of Good Ground Road and Springville Road in Hampton Bays on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to pay a fine. Police said Walker was found standing by a vehicle near an accident scene in which a fire hydrant as struck. She was found to have an active warrant from the East Hampton Town Police Department and was transported to the townline, where East Hampton police took her into custody, according to the arrest report.
