Town Police: Boardy Barn Partier Assaulted

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Assault

A 26-year-old woman who was at the Sunday told police that at around 7 p.m. that day she was assaulted. The woman, who was highly intoxicated, had a cut about her right eye and swelling on her eye and forehead. She declined to give police her address, or any details about the attacker. Police told her that she could report the incident Monday and press charges.

DWI

Osmanny Medina, 25, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sunday at 4:37 a.m. at the corner of Montauk Highway East and Peconic Road in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Medina was stopped for a traffic infraction when he appeared intoxicated, police said.

Ruben Gutierrez, 28, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sunday at 2:41 a.m. on the corner of Shinnecock and Wakeman roads in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Gutierrez was stopped for ignoring a stop sign when police discovered he appeared intoxicated.

Neri L’Cortez, 35, of Westhampton was arrested Thursday, August 18 at 8:10 p.m. at the corner of Old Country Road and Hickory Bend in Speonk and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said L’Cortez was stopped for multiple traffic violations when they discovered he was intoxicated.

Marc D’Aconta, 34, of Southampton was arrested Tuesday, August 16 at 1:30 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. D’Aconta crashed into three unoccupied parked cars along Main Street in Hampton Bays and was reportedly discovered to appear intoxicated.

Criminal Contempt

John Bianchi, 49, of Hampton Bays was arrested Sunday at 1:09 a.m. on Foster Avenue in Hampton Bays and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Bianchi, who was intoxicated, screamed and threw household items at a 76-year-old man, police said. The 76-year-old man has an order of protection against Bianchi, according to police.

Larceny

A 20-year-old woman from Manhattan told police that on Sunday between 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. someone stole her car keys, bank card, American Express card, iPhone and clutch from one of the bars at on Dune Road in East Quogue. Police are investigating.

Ronald Murphy, 18, of East Moriches was arrested Sunday at 10:23 p.m. at police headquarters in Hampton Bays and charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, petit larceny, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation. Murphy took items from a car at a residence in Remsenburg, police said.
