Storage Containers Looted in Speonk

Several hundred dollars worth of tools were stolen on Dec. 23.

Southampton Town police released the following incident reports on Dec. 30:

Speonk

• Several hundred dollars worth of tools were stolen from unlocked storage containers an unlocked vehicles at a storage facility on Old Country Road on the night of Dec. 23. Three people filed reports on Dec. 24 after they discovered items, such as cordless drills, an electric hand blower, heat guns, extension tools, and work lamps were missing. Scrap metal was also reported stolen.


East Quogue

• An air conditioning unit, worth $3,800, were reported stolen from a house on Whippoorwill Lane between Dec. 19 and 21. Two AC units, worth $10,000, were stolen from a house on Meadow Court in Bridgehampton sometime before Dec. 23.

• A 2009 Cadillac left in the 7-Eleven parking lot on Dec. 21 sustained damage on the right side, possible from a yellow car backing into it, police said. The car owner, a Westhampton man, said he left the car there between 3 and 7:45 a.m.

Hampton Bays

• Police said $4,675 worth of items were stolen from a house on East Tiana Road between Dec. 18 and 23. A Dell laptop computer, two Trio tablets, Ray Ban sunglasses, Tom Ford sunglasses, a pair of Diamond stud earrings, a chrome watch, and an Xbox 360 with games and controllers were taken from the house and garage. The homeowners filed a report on Dec. 27.

• Personal documents, miscellaneous tools, and an $80 wall painting were taken from a house on Rampasture Road sometime between Oct. 31 and Nov. 25. Police said a resident told police a box of tax documents, a box medical records, and court documents were swiped.

• On Dec. 26, a Canoe Place Road resident called police about money missing from his house. He said $60 in cash was taken from his wallet on Dec. 23 and about $320 in change in various containers went missing three days later. He also told police that Ambien sleeping pills and a few Xanax pills were taken from inside his vehicle in October.

Riverside

• A Riverwoods resident reported a 22-inch television stolen from the house on the evening of Dec. 27. Police said the burglary took place between 6 and 9:15 p.m. The television was worth about $230, according to a report.

• While driving north on Country Road 104 on Dec. 18 at 5:22 p.m., a Calverton woman said her 2008 Buick Lacrosse got hit from behind. The other driver pulled over, but then left the scene without exchanging information. The Buick had a minor scratch on the bumper.

• An Eastport woman driving south on Country Road 94A on Dec. 23 at about 5 p.m. when her 2000 Chevrolet Malibu was struck from behind. The other driver kept driving.

Flanders

• A grey truck backed into a 2004 Buick at the USA Gas Station on Flanders Road on Dec. 26 at 6:50 p.m. The driver left before police arrived.

• About $60 worth of copper piping was stolen from inside a house up for sale on Priscilla Avenue sometime between Dec. 21 and Dec. 26. Detectives were notified.
