State Police Make DWI Arrests
Find a round-up of arrests made in Hampton Bays between Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.

• Nicole Locher, 28, of Riverhead, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, on Oct. 2 after she was stopped for speeding on State Route 24 in Hampton Bays. She is due back in court on Oct. 19.

• On Oct. 3, police charged Herbert A. Schmitz Jr., 31, of New York, N.Y., with DWI, a misdemeanor. Schmitz was stopped for failure to signal on State Route 27, in Hampton Bays. He is due back in court on Oct. 14.
• On Oct. 4, a 19-year-old from of Calverton, was stopped for speeding on County Route 80 in Hampton Bays. Police said they searched her car and found marijuana. She was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.. She is due on court on Oct. 24.
• On Oct. 6, Verny Delao, 51, of New York, N.Y. was stopped for speeding on Ponquogue Ave. in Hampton Bays. Police charged him with DWI, a misdemeanor. He is due back in court on Oct. 16.
