Southampton Police Log: Hampton Bays Man Charged With DWI

DWI

On Sunday, Southampton Police charged Fernando Patino-Munzo, 44, of Hampton Bays with DWI.  Police say they stopped Patino after they spotted him swerving and speeding on Flanders Road in Hampton Bays. Police Patino-Munzo was slurring his speech and had blood-shot eyes. He also performed poorly on a field sobriety test. Aside from being charged with DWI, Patino-Munzo was charged with unreasonable speed and unlicensed operator, driving on shoulder, moving from a lane unsafely and speeding.

Drugs

On Tuesday, police charged Raymond Normoyle, 24, of Flanders with with unlawful possession of marijuana.  Police say they charged Normoyle after stopping him at the intersection of Squiretown Road and Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays for have no stop lights on the car he was driving.

Assault

Police charged Noah Daniels, 40, of Riverhead with assault in the third degree and for criminal possession of a control substance on Sunday in Quogue. Police say a complaint came in that Daniels struck a man on the side of the face, knocking a tooth loose that had to be extracted. Upon investigation, police found Daniels was in possession of cocaine.
