Southampton Cops Locate Suicidal Man After Massive Search

Police located the 22-year-old after two hours.

Southampton Town Police went on a man hunt on Sunday night after a distressed family member from East Quogue called police to report that a suicidal man had run off on foot.

Police called in a Suffolk County Police helicopter and K-9 unit to assist in the search effort, which went on for nearly two hours, according to Sgt. Howard Kalb.

Kalb says the 22-year-old was eventually located on Railroad Avenue in Manorville and was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center for evaluation.
