Shirley Man Hit With Skateboard At Hampton Bays Post Office
His Attacker Could Face Harassment Charges
A 19-year-old Shirley man suffered cuts early Saturday morning after he was whacked with a skateboard a few times at the parking lot, according to Southampton Police.
The Shirley man told that an older Hampton Bays man hit him with a skateboard on his back and stomach at the post office parking lot Saturday at around 2 a.m. Before that encounter, the same man elbowed him in the face a few times at a home on Canoe Place Road.
Both men involved in the fights were highly intoxicated, according to police.

The Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance took the Shirley man to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for cuts on his back, Police said.
The Shirley man reported the incident to police because he is afraid the older man could attack him again, said police. The older man, who hails from Hampton Bays could face harassment charges, according to police.
