Report: Former Appliance Store Owner Charged With Felony

Robert L. Stevens, 68, of Sarasota, Florida, is charged with stealing money from employees.

Robert L. Stevens, the former owner of Westhampton's Bob Stevens Appliance, which claimed bankruptcy in 2010, has been charged with felony counts of grand larceny and scheme to defraud, according to a report on 27east.

The publication reports that Stevens, who now lives in Sarasota, Florida, was arrested on March 15 for allegedly stealing money from his employees.

Stevens is due to appear in Southampton Justice Court on April 18.
