Quogue Village Police: Duo Pulls 'Glee' Prank

The following information was supplied by the Quogue Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Criminal Mischief

In an attempt to re-create a prank scene on the popular show “Glee,” two unidentified people burst into a Quogue Junior Theatre Troupe rehearsal at Quogue Hall on Jessup Avenue Sunday, police said.

The duo squirted the rehearsing cast with water guns and then acted out a make-believe sword fight with rubber weapons, police said. After they fled the scene, the two pranksters broke a light, police said.

Quogue Village Police Lieutenant Chris Isola said that the rehearsing actors mentioned a similar stunt was pulled on the TV show.

Police are investigating the incident as a case of fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct and harassment, both violations.

Aggravated DWI

A 16-year-old boy from Quogue was arrested Sunday at 2:06 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Quogue and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony. The boy was stopped for illegally passing another car when police discovered he was intoxicated and had a fake driver’s license.

Marc Kracke, 47, of East Quogue was arrested Thursday at 6:28 p.m. on Montauk Highway in Quogue and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Kracke was stopped for changing lanes unsafely.

Driving While Ability Impaired

David Garzon, 20, of Sunnyside was arrested Saturday at 12:51 a.m. on Edgewood Road in Quogue and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol, operating out of his license class and unlawful possession of alcohol under the age of 21, all misdemeanors. Police said they pulled Garzon over when he improperly made a left turn. They then discovered he was driving with a restricted license and appeared intoxicated.

Zachary Haan, 22, of Flanders was arrested by Quogue Village Police August 31 at 3:50 a.m. on Dune Road in Quogue and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol, both misdemeanors. The passenger in his car, Lawrence Hoffman, 27, of Westhampton Beach was also arrested and charged with obstructing government administration, a misdemeanor. He was also charged with disorderly conduct and having an open container of alcohol, both violations. Police said Haan was pulled over for speeding when they discovered he was intoxicated. Hoffman tried to interfere in Haan’s arrest.

DWI

Erik Peters, 30, of White Plains was arrested August 31 at 12:35 a.m. on Quaquanantuck Lane in Quogue and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Peters for having broken taillights.

Underage Drinking

After receiving a noise complaint, police on July 30 at 12:05 a.m. broke up a party on Pheasant Run in Quogue where underage individuals were drinking alcohol.

Police charged a 20-year-old from Jericho, a 20-year-old from Melville and a 19-year-old from Michigan with social host law violations. Dillon Ayers, 20, of Lynbrook was charged with possession of alcohol with intent to consume, a misdemeanor.
