Attempted Burglary
Quogue Village police said they are investigating an attempted burglary that took place on Oct. 16 at a home on Montauk Highway.

According to police, a homeowner called police around 1:21 a.m. after she woke up to the sound of someone trying to break into her bedroom window. The homeowner, police said, told them that she saw hands coming through her window and screamed, frightening away the would-be burglar.

Police said they canvassed the area, but did not find anyone.

On Oct. 12 Quogue police said they charged Tiatyana Kostynyuk, 41, of Brooklyn with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they pulled Kostynyuk over on Montauk Highway at about 9:50 p.m. for making and unsafe lane change.
