Quogue Police Log: DWI and Drug Arrests

DWIs

• On July 9 at 3:18 a.m., Quogue Police charged Michael Rodgers, 26, of Bohemia, with DWI, a felony, and aggravated unlicensed in the first degree, also a felony. Rodgers, who was pulled over on Montauk Highway for failing to maintain his lane of travel, was additionally charged with circumventing an interlock devise, and aggravated unlicensed in the second degree, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned on July 10.

• On July 5 at 12:04 p.m. police charged a 43-year-old Florida man with aggravated unlicensed in the 3rd degree, a misdemeanor. Police say the man was parked on Old Point Road and was questioned while officers were investigating another incident at the same location.

• On July 6 at 10:12 p.m. on Quogue Street, police charged John Ianniello, 50 of Riverhead, with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police say Ianniello was parked facing the wrong direction on Quogue Street. Officers questioned Ianniello and found that he had been drinking. He was arraigned on July 7.

• On July 7 at 1:59 a.m., police charged Robert Pete, 26 of Port Jefferson Station, with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Police say they pulled Pete over on Montauk Highway for failing to maintain his lane and for crossing over a solid yellow line.  Pete was additionally charged with possession of marijuana, a violation. He was arraigned on July 8.

• On July 8 at 7:10 p.m. police charged Brian Barnett, 30 of Medford, with DWI, a misdemeanor.  Barnett was stopped on Montauk Highway for passing in no passing zone and tailgating. He was additionally charged with aggravated unlicensed, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned on July 9. 

• On July 9 at 10:30 a.m. police charged a 23-year-old Medford woman with aggravated unlicensed in the second and third degree, both misdemeanors and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. She was caught driving on the one-way Village Lane.
