Quogue Police Log: Burglar Nabbed on Dune Road

• Quogue Police say they charged at 29-year-old East Quogue man with burglary after he allegedly broke into a Dune Road Home on July 21 at 9:58 a.m.

Police say they were called to the house after the homeowner arrived home to find a suspicious, red Honda in the driveway. The homeowner, police say entered the home to find a man inside attempting to take items.

The homeowner, said police, chased the man outside and was stuck by the man's car when he attempted to leave. 

Police said they notified other area police cars and with the help of , they were able to nab Diego DejesusDuarte.

DejesusDuarte was charged with burglary in the second degree, a felony, as well as criminal trespassing, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of burglar tools and leaving the scene of an accident, all misdemeanors. 

• On July 27, police charged Heather Fasciana, 25 of Medford with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation and for driving while impaired by drugs as well as driving while impaired by drugs and alcohol, both misdemeanors.  Police say they stopped Fasciana on Quogue Street for speeding. 

• Also last week, Quogue Police pulled an East Morches man over and ticketed him for being unlicensed and on July 22, police pulled over a car that resembled a bat-mobile.  The driver of the car, said police was not licensed and the car's taillights were not functional.
