Quogue Police Charge East Moriches Man With Felony

Quogue arrests through Dec. 3

Editor’s Note: The following information was supplied by the Quogue Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Quogue police charged Carlos Pelaez, 27, of East Moriches, with DWI, a misdemeanor and first degree aggravated unlicensed, a felony.

Police said they pulled Pelaez over on Montauk Highway on Nov. 30 at 3:05 a.m. for failure to stay in his lane and for crossing over a double line.

The felony charge, said police, is based on a prior DWI conviction and because Pelaez had a suspended license.
