Police Make More Memorial Day Weekend DWI Arrests

Four more arrested on Sunday.

As they were on and , Southampton Police were out Sunday night keeping a close on the roadways as part of a beefed up DWI effort.

At around 6 p.m. on Sunday, police arrested Jonathan Owen, 30 of Setauket for DWI. He was caught after police said he rain a red light on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.

Police then stopped Marques Demoura, 28 of New Jersey for insufficient taillights on Dune Road in East Quogue. Police say that after an investigation, they found that he was under the influence of alcohol.

A short time later, police nabbed Nicole Nohs, 22 of Bay Shore.  Nohls was stopped after she was spotted unsafely backing out of the Shell Gas Station on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.  Police say they found she had been drinking and charged her accordingly.

Finally, police arrested Victor Fuillen-Lara, 27 of New Mexico. Guillen-Lara was stopped after police say he changed lanes unsafely on Ponquogue Avenue in Hampton Bays. Police say they soon learned that he had been drinking.
