Since the shooting Dream Night Club has been the subject of much police activity. Over the summer police busted bartenders for serving alcohol to minors and investigated several fights and drug deals.

Frank Vlahadamis, the club's owner, blames police retaliation. In August, he said that police are retaliating against a federal lawsuit he filed over three years ago, claiming that the town targeted him because he catered to the Hispanic community at the , which he also owns.

Police have stated that enforcement activity is not retaliation and that they have tried to work with the owner.

The club has also been closed for the past few weeks undergoing a renovation, according the Dream's Facebook page. It is set to hold grand reopening festivities this weekend with a Latin Halloween bash on Friday night and a costume party on Saturday, the anniversary of the shooting.
