Missing Diver Quickly Found Near Ponquogue Bridge
The diver was found just east of the Ponquogue Bridge.
A diver, who was thought to be missing over the weekend was quickly found according to officials.
The diver, police said, was reported missing on Saturday at around 11:00 a.m. when members of a group he was diving with could not find him.
Southampton Town Police, bay constables and the Quogue Village Maritime Unit responded. Divers from the Hampton Bay Fire Department were also called, but sent home because the diver was located.
Police said the diver, who was disoriented, was found clinging to a piling near the Ponquogue Bridge in Hampton Bays.
