Incident Report: Boat Left to Float After Lines Cut from Dock
Also, a woman reported repeat spray painters tagged her fence.
Crimes and suspicious incident recently reported to the Southampton Town police in the area.
• A North Dakota man said he was punched in the right eye while dancing at the Drift Inn on Dune Road in E. Quogue on July 28, leading to a trip to the hospital. According to a police report, the man said he was dancing around 3:50 a.m. when a stranger punched him. He was sent to Peconic Bay Medical Center.
• A Westhampton man reported that on Aug. 13, someone cut the eight lines holding his boat to a dock. The boat was recovered without damage sustained to it.

• A Hampton Bays woman reported that for the second time, someone spray painted the letters ‘TNO’ on her fence between Aug. 16 and Aug. 17. Police said they responded and found a spray paint can and a skate ramp apparently sprayed with the same paint. The investigation remains open.
