Westhampton Beach Police: Homeless Man with Hook Knife Arrested
The following information was supplied by the Westhampton Beach Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.
Officers arrested a 46-year-old homeless man in a parking lot after he allegedly threatened another man with a hook knife Monday, Nov. 7, according to Westhampton Beach Village Police.
Village Police said they were called to a physical altercation between Rodd Marcus and a Westhampton Beach man Monday at around 4:34 p.m. in the parking lot between and . Officers said they learned that Marcus used a hook knife with a three-inch blade to threaten another man.
Police did not know what sparked the fight. Marcus' victim was not injured.

Marcus was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors.
