Hampton Bays Man Injured in Medford Crash

Two-car crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

A two-car crash in Medford Saturday morning injured a Hampton Bays man, who was the behind the wheel of one of the vehicles, police said.ย 

Jonathan Esposito, 25, was driving a 2004 Kia eastbound on Woodside Avenue, about 100 yards east of Pennsylvania Avenue, when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic around 10:30 a.m. The Kia struck a 2005 Ford Explorer driven by 51-year-old Stephen Amato, of Hampton Bays.ย 

Both men were transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, where Esposito is being treated for serious head injuries, a broken femur and internal injuries. Amato is being checked out for back pain, police said.
