Gun Toting Mastic Man Arrested for Speonk Burglary
Police also charged the 22-year-old for a larceny that took place near an elementary school.
Southampton Town detectives worked with Suffolk County police in arresting a 22-year-old Mastic man for burglarizing a home on Nidzyn Avenue in Speonk.
Town detectives say that on Sept. 19 they spotted Christian Jensen on Lambert Avenue in Mastic trying to run away from a taxi when they attempted to arrest him for a Sept. 15 Nidzyn Ave. burglary.
Police say that they also discovered that Jensen had a stolen, loaded AMT 380 9 mm handgun Jensen after Jensen fought with detectives and resisted arrest.

After the struggle, police took Jensen to in Hampton Bays and charged him with second-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, second-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, all felonies, and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor.
Jensen also faces other two misdemeanor charges – third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle and petit larceny, which stems from an April 16 incident at . Police say Jensen stole the vehicle and drugs of someone he knew.

Police are investigating Jensen’s stolen handgun. Two Southampton Town detectives suffered minor injuries during the tussle.
Jensen was remanded to jail Sept. 20 in lieu of $60,000 bail.
