Cops: Parking Lot Crash Leads to Felony Arrest

Police also nabbed a 25-year-old on drug charges.

charged a Southampton man with felony DWI and as an aggravated unlicensed driver, also a felony count, on Sunday after a crash in the parking lot.

According to police, at 5:14 a.m. Pablo Aquino, 27, of Southampton, backed into a parked car. Upon investigation, Aquino was found to be intoxicated.

Police said they also learned that Aquino, who used a false name, had a warrant.

Aside from being charged with DWI and as a unlicensed driver, Aquino was charged as a unlicensed operator, a violation; unsafe backing, a violation; and false personation, a misdemeanor.

Also this weekend, police charged a 25-year-old woman with four misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, Laura E. O'Neill of Holtsville, was found by police on Saturday in the passenger seat of a car, which was parked at the on Foster Avenue in Hampton Bays with two types of hydrocodone, oxycodone and codeine.

Police also charged O'Neill with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

And on Sunday, at 12:45 a.m., police charged Steven J. Kelleher, 27, of Brooklyn, with DWI, a misdemeanor.

Police say they stopped Kelleher on Shinnecock Road in Hampton Bays for various traffic infractions.
