Former Police Captain: 'There's Nothing to Hide' in Records

According to a story on 27east, former Police Capt. Anthony Tenaglia said there was no wrongdoing in regards to confidential recordkeeping.

Former Southampton Town Police Capt. Anthony Tenaglia said "There's nothing to hide" from Suffolk County prosecutors who have seized boxes of confidential records from , according to a story on 27east.

Last Wednesday, for "Any and all records documents, files, folders, boxes, audio recordings, video records or other images transported on or about May 13, 2011" as well as logs of who accessed or possessed the records since that date. 

Tenaglia, who was considered as a candidate for Southampton Town Police chief after the last year — and was serving as acting chief on May 13, 2011  — retired in February 2012, and told 27east that the department has been honest in its recordkeeping.

“It’s getting to the point that it’s looking like something was done improperly," the article quotes Tenaglia as saying. "There's nothing to hide."
