I bet has was unlicensed too. Probably yet another illegal alien. Take a look around folks, this is what Long Island has become. I have friends who visit from other parts of the country and cant believe how bad it is here. I cant see it getting any better, with pandering local politicians on both sides of the aisle, and will be leaving in the future.

Sadly, bigoted Americans change targets but not their cruelty. Does Mr. Pine assume that all people with hispanic last names are illegal. Was the crime driving while hispanic or drunk driving? My father immigrated from Italy in 1923 and endured heaps of abuse as a WOP (with out papers) despite the fact that he had immigrated legally. But Italian he was and plenty of folks just decided that he must have been illegal or a criminal. Nothing could have been further from the truth and it saddens me that the same ignorant, discriminatory thinking remains alive and well here on LI.

You are right, lots of people stereotipe hispanics.

Stop trying to mix in hispanics here legally and abiding by our laws with illegal aliens! In many of these DWI stories you will see the driver has no license, because they cant get one. I'm sure your father didn't spend their days loitering in a parking lot and getting drunk like these illegals do. Immigrants, legal immigrants are the backbone of this country. But illegals? They loiter around town and are a general menace, comitting these crimes, and for what? So some lazy rich person didnt want to hire a legal worker to clean their lawn?
