Firefighters Battle Basement Blaze Wednesday Night
Westhampton Beach firefighters were called to Homestead Avenue at around 8 p.m.
battled a basement blaze on Wednesday night at 42 Homestead Ave.
The fire department, which was in on their way to a training in Yapank, was called in at about 8 p.m.
Fire officials said they arrived on scene to find the home's basement engulfed in flames and spreading to the first floor. The fire, officials said, was fully knocked down by 10 p.m. without incident.
