PHOTOS: Scores of Firefighters Battle Blaze

From Riverhead to East Hampton, multiple fire departments were called to a mansion fire in Water Mill Thursday.

Firefighters were on scene in Water Mill for more than six hours Thursday night for on a $4.7 million estate, and damaged a neighboring residence as well.

Bigger houses mean the potential for larger fires. Well done by all of our volunteer firefighters. All of their training and assortment of the nessecary equipment to fight this blaze makes me proud to know our local FD are ready to respond in a moments notice.
