UPDATE: Chief Says Jackson Avenue Fire Started in the Back of the House

Area fire departments are responding.

UPDATE 11:45 a.m.:  Chief Greg Celi, Jr. said the fire, which was toned at out 10:53 a.m., seems to have started in the back of the Jackson Avenue home. He indicated that the inside of the house has been severely scorched and that the fire department is in the process of overhauling the home by searching for pockets of fire. The has been called in to help with the overhaul process.

Celi said no injuries have been reported. 

UPDATE 11:30 a.m.: The house fire has been knocked down, however, it is still smoldering and firefighters are working on the back deck of the home.

Firefighters say they had to break the windows of the one-story home for ventilation.

The owner of the house is on the scene, however, it is unclear if he was in the home when the fire broke out or how the fire started.
