A Westhampton Beach woman was arrested and charged with DWI Friday night after police said she was driving drunk when she was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Montauk Highway that shut the road down for about an hour.
According to Southampton Town Police Sgt. Patrick Ficurelli, Susan Rubino, 54, was arrested after the two-car accident, which occurred near the intersection of Montauk Highway and Cooks Lane.
Ficurelli said people were taken to the hospital, however could not provide further details.
Rubino was arraigned Saturday morning and released on her own recognizance.
