The driver of a car that crashed into the woods on Montauk Highway in Quiogue was taken to the hospital via the Westhampton War Memorial Ambulance Corps on Saturday at 3 p.m.
According to the Westhampton Beach Fire Department, which also responded to the scene, the westbound car came to rest on the north side of the highway a few hundred yards east of Old Meeting House Road.
The driver, who was alone in the car, was helped from the vehicle with the assistance of ambulance volunteers, the fire department reported.
