Crimes Nearby: Two Cyclists Charged With Illegal Drug Possession

The following information was supplied by police departments on the East End. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

EAST HAMPTON

Jose M. Tacuri, 22, of East Hampton, was arrested after he allegedly drove with a suspended license and gave a fake name to police on Sept. 20. When police checked his name against DMV records, they found his license had been suspended three times, one of which was alcohol related and his car was impounded.

Darryl D. Privott, 40, of East Hampton, was arrested on a charge of second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor, after allegedly violating an order of protection on Sept. 21. Privott reportedly placed a phone call to someone that East Hampton Town Justice Catherine A. Cahill ordered him to have no contact with on May 31. Justice Cahill arraigned him the following day and released him on his own recognizance.

Christopher Fallon, 24, of Montauk, was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge on Sept. 21. Just after noon, police said they saw Fallon with a lit marijuana cigarette as he was riding in the passenger side of a 2002 Chevrolet that was stopped at the intersection of The Plaza and Montauk Highway. The vehicle was pulled over. Fallon was charged, police said, with fifth-degree possession of marijauna. He was released on his own recognizance and is due for arraignment on Oct. 13.
