Crimes Nearby: 37-Year-Old Allegedly Stabs Girlfriend in Arm

The following information was supplied by police departments on the East End. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Kristopher Smilowska, 37, reportedly stabbed his live-in girlfriend in the arm at the convenience store on West Main Street at about 2:13 a.m., then fled on foot, according to a police report of the incident. The victim's wound was not life-threatening, police said.

• A Riverhead man was found and arrested by Riverhead Town police with an apparently self-inflicted knife wound after police said the man stabbed his live-in girlfriend in the arm at a downtown gas station on Dec. 13, according to a statement released by town police.

• Police said they responded to the incident and found Smilowska on Raynor Avenue. He had stabbed himself in the chest, according to a police report of the incident. Smilowska was arrested for second-degree assault and taken first to and later to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, police said.

• Eddie Brown, 52, of Riverhead, was arrested Dec. 8 at 12:02 p.m. at police headquarters in Hampton Bays and charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. Brown came into headquarters on notice for an arrest warrant he had received, police said. Brown stole two tires with rims valued at $70 from the Best Price Auto Repair Shop on Riverleigh Avenue in Riverside, according to police.

• Misael Jocop, 24, of Flanders was arrested Nov. 19 at 12:14 a.m. on Flanders Road in Flanders and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. Jocop and another unidentified man punched in the windows of a home near his own. Jocop was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center for injuries sustained during the crime, officers said.

NORTH FORK

• Southold Town Police arrested a Riverhead man on Sunday evening and charged him with driving while under the influence of drugs after he crashed his car into a vehicle in the opposite lane of traffic in Mattituck, police said.

• Randy Majewski was attempting to make a right turn onto New Suffolk Avenue from the Main Road at 5 p.m. when he crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck a car waiting at a stop sign, according to a statement from police.

• Police said Majewski failed several field sobriety tests at the scene. A further investigation revealed that Majewski was in possession of oxycodone pills without a prescription, according to a statement from police.

SOUTHAMPTON

• A 30-year-old Bridgehampton man told town police that sometime between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, someone went into his Sag Harbor-Bridgehampton Turnpike home and stole $500 cash and a $1,000 engagement ring, according to the incident report. Police are investigating.

• A 26-year-old Southampton man who is a manager at told town police that sometime on Dec. 11 around 3:40 a.m. someone stole his company pick-up truck, which is valued at $30,000 and was parked in front of his home on County Road 39. The man told police he had locked the doors and that his keys were inside his house, according to the incident report. Officers are investigating.

• Lakiwa Kelly, 25, of Riverhead, was arrested Dec. 9 at 8:20 p.m. at the corner of Evergreen and Flanders roads in Flanders and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Kelly was stopped for a broken front headlight and officers saw that her license was suspended, police said.
