Crimes Nearby: North Haven Mayor Charged With DWI; P. Diddy Stalker Caught

EAST HAMPTON

East Hampton Town police said this week that they arrested a man on trespass and theft charges at Sean "P-Diddy" Combs' in East Hampton house last week. Quamine T. Taylor, who is 30, had been arrested on similar charges at Combs' house 11 years ago, according to police. • North Haven Village Mayor Laura M. Nolan was following an accident in Sag Harbor Village on Friday afternoon. • James Reid, 31, of Southampton, a registered sex offender, was arrested on April 5 at 5:04 p.m., according to police. He was charged with failure to report his address to authorities under Megan's Law, a felony, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and driving an unregistered vehicle, a violation, police said.

• Joseph Toto, 60, of East Hampton, was arrested April 4 on Noyac Road in Noyac at 11:47 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree, a class-A misdemeanor, according to police. Police said they stopped Toto's vehicle for insufficient lights and found a quantity of marijuana in the car.

• A Southampton woman reported that she was assaulted April 1 by a man who jumped out of his car while she was walking on Longview Road in Shinnecock Hills. The victim said the man struck her in the face several times after she refused to answer his questions. According to the report, the assailant threw the victim on the ground, then returned to the vehicle and left the area in an unknown direction. The woman suffered facial injuries along with abrasions to her hand and arm. She was transported to.

RIVERHEAD

Riverhead resident Jesse Stewart, 37, was arrested for his alleged role in a Deer Park bank robbery on Monday.
Stewart, of 2 Alders Gate, was arrested on charges of one count of robbery in the 3rd degree for his alleged connection to a bank robbery that took place in Deer Park on Monday. Stewart was allegedly the driver of the getaway car in the incident.
Suffolk County Police arrested Bay Shore resident Jean Coughlin, 45, who allegedly entered a branch of Chase Bank, located at 615 Grand Boulevard, at 3:22 p.m. on Monday and handed the bank teller a handwritten note demanding cash and threatening violence; she was charged with one count of robbery in the 3rd degree in connection with the alleged robbery. She was subsequently charged with two more counts of robbery in the 3rd degree for two other bank robberies she allegedly committed in Suffolk County this year.
Stewart was held at the Seventh Precinct in Shirley overnight. Both were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip.
