Crimes Nearby: North Haven Mayor Charged With DWI; P. Diddy Stalker Caught

East Hampton Town police said this week that they arrested a man on trespass and theft charges at Sean "P-Diddy" Combs' in East Hampton house last week. Quamine T. Taylor, who is 30, had been arrested on similar charges at Combs' house 11 years ago, according to police. A caretaker called police to Combs' house in Northwest Woods on April 1, just one day after responding to a in Amagansett.

• North Haven Village Mayor Laura M. Nolan was following an accident in Sag Harbor Village on Friday afternoon. Detective Jeffrey Proctor was on patrol when he saw Nolan's Mercedes hit the back of a Corvette at the stop sign on Bay Street, near the intersection of Main Street, he said. "She couldn't have been going anymore than 3 miles per hour, but the fiberglass on the back of the Corvette cracked," said Proctor, who was driving in front of the Corner Bar at the time. He instructed both drivers to turn onto the so he could take an accident report. That's when he realized Nolan was intoxicated — he could smell alcohol on her breath and she had a hard time producing documentation, he said. She was so intoxicated, he said, that he did not perform any field sobriety tests. At headquarters, she submitted to a test. He declined to release the blood alcohol level. She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, a felony, endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and five traffic violations including speeding, moving unsafely from a traffic lane, failure to wear a seat belt, unlicensed operation of a vehicle and failure to use a designated lane. Ascencion-Ortiz was additionally charged with false personation for providing police with a fake name, a class-B misdemeanor, according to the arrest report.

• James Reid, 31, of Southampton, a registered sex offender, was arrested on April 5 at 5:04 p.m., according to police. He was charged with failure to report his address to authorities under Megan's Law, a felony, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the second degree, a misdemeanor, and driving an unregistered vehicle, a violation, police said.

• Joseph Toto, 60, of East Hampton, was arrested April 4 on Noyac Road in Noyac at 11:47 p.m. and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree, a class-A misdemeanor, according to police. Police said they stopped Toto's vehicle for insufficient lights and found a quantity of marijuana in the car.

• A Southampton woman reported that she was assaulted April 1 by a man who jumped out of his car while she was walking on Longview Road in Shinnecock Hills. The victim said the man struck her in the face several times after she refused to answer his questions. According to the report, the assailant threw the victim on the ground, then returned to the vehicle and left the area in an unknown direction. The woman suffered facial injuries along with abrasions to her hand and arm. She was transported to.

Riverhead resident Jesse Stewart, 37, was arrested for his alleged role in a Deer Park bank robbery on Monday.
Stewart, of 2 Alders Gate, was arrested on charges of one count of robbery in the 3rd degree for his alleged connection to a bank robbery that took place in Deer Park on Monday. Stewart was allegedly the driver of the getaway car in the incident.
Suffolk County Police arrested Bay Shore resident Jean Coughlin, 45, who allegedly entered a branch of Chase Bank, located at 615 Grand Boulevard, at 3:22 p.m. on Monday and handed the bank teller a handwritten note demanding cash and threatening violence; she was charged with one count of robbery in the 3rd degree in connection with the alleged robbery. She was subsequently charged with two more counts of robbery in the 3rd degree for two other bank robberies she allegedly committed in Suffolk County this year.
Stewart was held at the Seventh Precinct in Shirley overnight. Both were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip.
