Crimes Nearby: 2 Stabbed During Raucous Party

Riverhead

• Two were stabbed at a crowded party of more than 500 that led to violence on Oakland Drive South Saturday night, police said.

According to Riverhead Town police, a call came in at 10:51 p.m. about loud music. When police arrived at the party, they found a large crowd, with hundreds of cars parked on and along the roadway, authorities said. The homeowners were asked to lower the music; they told police the party was almost over.

A short time later, an argument escalated and a fight broke out among partygoers, police said; two men were stabbed. The victims left the scene and headed to Peconic Bay Medical Center on their own, police said.

Southampton

• Two teenagers were arrested after they burglarized a house in Water Mill on July 30, according to police. Police said a 17-year-old from Southampton and a 16-year-old from Water Mill entered a house on Farmstead Lane and took various items. They were each charged with burglary in the second degree, a felony, on Aug. 3, following an investigation.

East Hampton


Jonathan M. Elsis, 26, of Montauk, was arrested on felony charges
related to drunken driving, as well as misdemeanor drug charges, on Aug.
4 in Montauk. In the back of the vehicle, police found a small Dior
canvas bag with a pair of shoes and three clear and orange hypodermic
needles, a metal spoon, a sample of urine inside a blue rubber glove,
along with a Ziplock bag, cotton swabs, alcohol wipes, and band aids,
according to authorities. Police said he was previously convicted of DWI
on Aug. 8, 2012, and his vehicle was seized.

Milius, 38, of East Hampton, was arrested on a felony DWI charge after
driving drunk with a child in the car on Route 114 in East Hampton,
police said. Police said they saw Milius by the Cove Hollow Road
intersection speaking on his cellphone at about 7:05 p.m. He was pulled
over near Toilsome Lane, and appeared intoxicated, according to police.
A check of his license showed it was suspended on May 15 for failure to
answer a summons out of Nassau County, police said. He was arrested at
about 7:30 p.m., and police obtained a warrant to draw his blood. A
clear glass containing alcohol was found under the front passenger seat,
police said.
