Cops: Westhampton Jewelry Thief Turns Himself In

Police say Thomas Palumbo was charged in connection with the theft of over $10,000 worth of jewelry.

say that they have charged Thomas Palumbo, 36, of Westhampton for criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

Police said Palumbo turned himself in this week after an on-going investigation found that he was in possession of over $10,000.00 worth of stolen jewelry.

Police say Palumbo sold the jewelry for $5,200.00 in cash.

According to police, the jewelry was stolen from a residence on Birchwood Lane in East Quogue between March and May. It is the same residence that police said Julie Giordano, 30, of Hampton Bays stole a pair of earrings, worth over $1,100, from.
