Cops: Victim Beaten With Baseball Bat in Gang Assault; 2 Arrested
Both suspects were slapped with felony charges, police said.
A man was beaten with a baseball during a gang assault in Speonk, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, on Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call to a trailer park in Speonk to what they said appeared to be a burglary where a resident had been struck with a baseball bat and "severely beaten" by multiple individuals.
On Dec. 20, Southampton Town detectives arrested Tina Duffy, 36, of Brentwood and charged her with gang assault in the first degree, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a felony.

With the assistance of the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, a second arrest was made on Jan. 30 of Andrew Stricklin, 28, of Wyandanch. He was also charged with gang assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, both felonies.
The investigation is ongoing; no further information was immediately available.
