Cops: Three Tickets Issues at Westhampton Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade

Westhampton Beach police say they broke up a few bar fights.

Westhampton Beach Detective Ed Hamor said the was busy on Saturday during the , but "All in all, it was a pretty good day" in terms of crime. 

Hamor said there were quite a few fights at area bars, however, none lead to arrests.

"We just moved everyone along," he said.

There were, however, three violation charges made during and shortly after the parade.

One East Quogue resident was given a violation for having an open alcohol container or Main Street while a 30-year-old Westhampton man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, at the corner of Brook Road and Sunset Avenue.

Also charged during the parade was a 22-year-old man for disorderly conduct and harassment, both violations.  The man, said police was intoxicated and struck a police officer in the arm.
